The Orlando Magic (11-4) are scorching hot winning six of seven games played and lording the top of the Southeast Division. The Boston Celtics (6-9) are hosting the Magic and has been unsuccessful in its home court registering 4-5 record at TD Garden.

The Magic is riding on the superb performances of Dwight Howard as the All-Center needs only 26 points to become Orlando’s all-time leader in scoring. Howard had another 20-20 game in a 92-80 win against Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers on Saturday. He scored 21 points and collected 23 rebounds against the Lakers’ big men. This is his fifth 20-20 performance this season and might be his last full season for Orlando.

The Celtics are beyond the championship team the NBA circle saw in 2008 after winning another NBA crown courtesy of the Big Three – Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. However, this season, the team is far from its championship form and will host the surging Magic team minus Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo. Allen sprained his ancle in the second quarter after their won game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday. In their 100-94 victory against the Wizards, Pierce led the Cs with 34 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. The Celtics are 0-6 against winning NBA teams. Coach Doc Rivers needs to stop their losing ways in this shortened NBA season. Former Celtic forward Glen Davis will be playing against his former team on Monday.
